The University of Rhode Island’s Forensic Science Partnership has announced the return of its popular university forensic lecture series, offering students, educators, professionals, and forensic science enthusiasts an opportunity to learn directly from experts working in the field.
The lecture series features sessions covering diverse areas of forensic science and investigative practice, providing participants with insights into the scientific techniques used in real-world forensic investigations. The upcoming programme includes “CSI @ URI,” presented by Dennis Hilliard, Director of the Rhode Island State Crime Laboratory. The session will explore the work carried out in a modern crime laboratory, including areas such as DNA analysis, hair and fibre examination, fire-debris analysis, and alcohol analysis.
