About the Conference
FORENSIC MEDICON 2027 is the **48th Annual National Conference of the Indian Academy of Forensic Medicine, hosted by the Department of Forensic Medicine & Toxicology, Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences, Swami Rama Himalayan University.
The conference will bring together professionals and researchers from forensic medicine, forensic science, nursing, law, police and the judiciary, with a focus on translating scientific knowledge and research into practical applications in the justice system.

The conference will focus on strengthening interdisciplinary coordination, improving medico-legal documentation and forensic reporting, promoting scientific integrity, and enhancing the understanding and use of forensic evidence within the justice system.
Pre-Conference Skill Labs
Participants can also enrol in hands-on skill labs scheduled for 2–3 February 2027, including:
- Forensic AI Lab – Real-time model building for medico-legal applications
- MCCD Lab – Death documentation and certification
- Medico-Legal Photography Lab
- Simulation Lab
- Virtual Autopsy & Forensic Imaging Lab at AIIMS Rishikesh
Skill labs have limited seats and are allotted on a first-come, first-served basis upon payment confirmation.

Early-Bird rates until 15 September 2026 include:
- Undergraduate Students – ₹2,000
- PG Trainees – ₹5,000–₹5,500, depending on IAFM membership
- Faculty/Professionals – ₹8,000–₹9,000, depending on IAFM membership
Regular and late registration slabs will apply after the respective deadlines.
