Two-Day International Conference on "Forensic Sciences for Advancing Justice: Integrating Law, Medical Science and Technology" — organised by the Faculty of Law, Integral University, Lucknow in collaboration with Menoufiya University (Shibin El-Kom, Menoufiya Governorate, Egypt; established 1976).

The conference provides an interdisciplinary platform to examine the evolving role of forensic sciences in justice, healthcare, research and technological governance, bringing together forensic scientists, legal scholars, medical professionals, technologists, researchers, policymakers, law-enforcement practitioners, academicians and students. It will explore developments in forensic medicine, pathology, toxicology, DNA and genetic analysis, digital and cyber forensics, artificial intelligence, deepfakes and synthetic media, biotechnology, data protection, environmental forensics and financial forensics, with particular emphasis on the reliability, admissibility, integrity, ethics, privacy, human rights and responsible application of forensic evidence.

The conference aligns with SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), SDG 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions) and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).

The conference is open to undergraduate and postgraduate students, research scholars, faculty members and academicians, legal professionals, forensic scientists, medical professionals, researchers, technologists, policymakers, law-enforcement professionals, professionals from relevant disciplines, and international/foreign participants.

Themes are suggestive and not exhaustive — participants may choose any suitable topic aligned with the overall conference theme, including a specific study or comparative analysis focusing on India, Egypt or broader international perspectives.

Submission Guidelines

Abstract submission — Original, unpublished abstract of 250–300 words plus five keywords, covering the research question/problem, central argument, proposed methodology/approach (where applicable) and expected contribution/conclusion; in English; in Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx) format; submitted exclusively through the designated Google Form by the prescribed deadline; plagiarism/similarity must not exceed 10% and AI-generated content must not exceed 10% (submissions exceeding these limits may be rejected); a maximum of one co-author is permitted and each participant may submit only one abstract. The form must include author name(s), institution/organisation, designation/discipline/year of study (where applicable), e-mail, contact number and postal address. Selection is based on relevance, originality, clarity, strength of argument, academic potential and overall contribution; the decision of the Screening/Review Committee is final, and only selected abstracts are eligible for paper presentation.

Full paper submission (only for participants whose abstracts are selected) — 2,500–3,000 words inclusive of title, author details and main text, exclusive of footnotes; original, unpublished and not under consideration elsewhere; must substantially correspond with the accepted abstract (substantial changes may require prior approval). The final paper must include a cover page with complete author and contact details; the title shall be followed by the author's name as a byline, with a corresponding footnote mentioning designation/discipline/year of study, where applicable. Formatting: A4; Times New Roman; main text 12 pt; title/headings 14 pt; footnotes 10 pt; single spacing; justified; subheadings bold and left-aligned; Bluebook (20th Edition) citation style with all references through Word footnotes — a separate bibliography is not required. Full papers are likewise screened for a maximum of 10% plagiarism/similarity and 10% AI-generated content; non-compliant submissions may be rejected.

Publication — It is planned to publish the peer-reviewed and selected papers of the conference as proceedings as well as an edited book with a renowned international/national publisher, subject to editorial and publication requirements; any applicable charges are borne by the author(s), and presentation does not guarantee publication. Submission of an abstract or full paper constitutes acceptance of these guidelines.

Registration Fees

A maximum of two authors is allowed per paper; co-authors must register separately and pay the applicable fee. No fee shall be refunded if any author fails to attend the conference on the scheduled date. All national and international participants shall bear their own travel, accommodation and living expenses (the organising team will provide reasonable assistance with accommodation arrangements, subject to availability). Certificates will be issued in soft copy to online participants.

Registration Process

The current registration covers abstract submission and audience participation only. After the abstract is reviewed, accepted presenters will receive a new registration form and an email with further details for final registration as a presenter. Registered participants receive a Certificate of Participation, subject to fulfilment of attendance requirements. By submitting the form, participants agree to abide by the rules and decisions of the Organising Committee.

Important Dates

Only selected abstracts will be eligible for presentation; the organisers reserve the right to reject submissions that do not comply with the prescribed academic, originality, formatting or submission requirements.

Awards

The Best Presenter Award Certificate in each conference track will be awarded to the respective presenter in recognition of their outstanding research and contribution to the conference theme.
