Medak, Telangana: A 21-year-old man allegedly killed his 40-year-old mother by setting her on fire in Telangana’s Medak district, reportedly accusing her of practising black magic and blaming her for deaths that had occurred in their village in the past.
According to reports, the accused, identified as Karre Durgesh, worked as an autorickshaw driver and had recently returned to his native village from Hyderabad. He allegedly suspected his mother, Karre Sayamma, of being responsible for earlier deaths in the village through black magic.
The incident came to light after the woman was allegedly set on fire using diesel. She sustained severe burn injuries and died at the scene.
Police Investigation
Police took the accused into custody and initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident. Investigators reportedly questioned villagers to examine the allegations against the victim.
