According to media reports, the firing occurred as Shroff was leaving a venue in the Juhu area. Following the incident, a social media post purportedly claiming responsibility in the name of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi circulated online. The post reportedly contained threats directed at individuals in the film industry.
